Hilliard, OH Supercoach Rick Rick explains the differences between cravings and hunger. We want to fuel hunger, not the cravings. Cravings are specific, have a sudden onset, and show very few signs that hunger shows. If you’re truly hungry, you’ll having growling from your stomach, maybe irritability, lightheadedness, and it is typically a gradual onset. Use signals from your brain to let you decide the difference. Emotions, and physical feelings can be confused as hunger. Don’t get confused. Foods that are craved are commonly sugary, fatty, creamy, salty, crunchy, chewy – those equal an instant hit.
