Carbohydrates – the word itself is scary to some. Should they be avoided? – NO! You just need to educate yourself about consuming the “right kind”. Most people would do best eating a moderate amount of the correct kind of carbs. Some examples include whole grains, fruit, sweet potatoes, beans, legumes, etc.
Remember that every person’s needs for carbs will differ, and a lot of that is based off of body size, activity level, goals, and genetics. Carbs actually aid in having energy for working out and the recovery afterwards – aka it helps optimize progress.
For the most part, avoiding carbs is not practical for long term success.
If anything else, remember it’s about portions of what you put in your body.
