Rick Rick III
Owner

Rick Rick is the owner and head coach at the Energy Lab warehouse training facility in Hilliard Ohio. Rick’s training methods simultaneously improve human movement and physicality. Rick works hard with his athletes to challenge them not only physically, but mentally as well, so they can begin to understand the incredible potential of the human body and spirit. Gaining his Bachelor of Science degree as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from Marietta College, Rick understands the importance of appropriately pushing the body to its next level.

He has qualified for the Boston Marathon, completed seven Ironman Distance Triathlons (most recently 2016 Lake Placid), cycled across America, and he’s the head coach for the Worthington Special Olympics Power Lifting team. Now in his seventeenth year of strength and conditioning training, he is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Strong First Kettlebell Level 2, Precision Nutrition Level 2, and specializes in Russian Kettlebell (SFG) training.

Rick has been fortunate enough to get instruction from Pavel, Dan John, and Louie Simmons on multiple occasions. He found the Kettlebell to be a great addition to private outdoor training groups that he had been holding year-round, since 2001. The more Rick trained with the Kettlebell and other simple tools, the more he realized he needed to branch out on his own, to create a more focused training environment for youth athletes and adult athletes.

He learned a lot in the athletic club setting, and would not change that. The fitness and strength industry can be misleading, and, in most cases, this is due to the endless promotion of products and training methods. The athlete or enthusiast that is shopping for a trainer or coach is normally very confused about what they need to achieve their specific goals. Rick wanted a simple gym, void of distractions, which focuses on small group training and special outdoor events. His middle school and high school years were fortified greatly by my addiction to the iron of the weight room, and he want to give that experience and confidence to a small group of athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
